Let’s Talk About Books

Are you passionately curious? A fan of non-fiction books with an ever-expanding list of books you want to read?

You’re not alone; in an age of AI-assisted writing, there are too many books to keep up, and every book you read tends only to make that list even longer.

You could read book summarises, but they usually make you want to read the books even more rather than satisfy your curiosity – we want to understand how the author got to those conclusions.

To deal with this challenging situation, we have started an unorthodox book club called Let’s talk about books. What makes this club different is that instead of all reading one book and discussing it as we read through it, we will all read different books and present them to each other.

This system will allow us to understand a broader range of books better. Essentially, we are creating a collaborative reading team to share the insights gained from more books.

Unlike reading a summary, here we can ask these people questions if we wish to know more about a subject discussed in the book and start a conversation about that topic.

I am excited to be part of this new type of book club and have prepared some material to help those wishing to present their book.

Our first meeting will be at Mayer am Pfarrplatz on the 23rd of March at 7 PM.
